Troubleshooting: O2Vape Cartridge Batteries
If your O2Vape battery suddenly stops working, there are several common causes that have simple fix solutions.
Here are the most frequently asked questions and issues to consider during your troubleshooting process:
1. Bad Battery Connection
This is the most common issue with O2Vape batteries. The cartridge needs to be making a good connection with the battery in order to fire. When you’re using different varieties of cartridges with slightly different sizes or you’re screwing on cartridges too tight, sometimes the connection plate can get pushed down too far inside the battery. If this is your issue, it’s an easy fix. You’ll just need to adjust the position of the connection plate inside the battery. See the video above for a step-by-step walk through on how to do this quickly and safely.
2. Bad Cartridge or Cartridge Connection Plate Needs Adjustment
While the most common problem for a misfunctioning O2Vape battery is connection plate placement, the vape cartridge itself also has a connection plate that may be faulty or misaligned. The battery connection plate and vape cartridge connection plate both need to be properly placed in order to function. Watch the video above for a step-by-step visual on how to troubleshoot and adjust the connection plate on your vape cartridge.
3. Oil on the Battery Connection Plate
If oil gets on the battery connection plate, it won’t fire properly. The fix here is simple: carefully clean it with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab. Watch the video above for an example on how to safely clean oil off a battery connection plate without damaging the battery in the cleaning process.
4. Bad Charger Connection
Just like the battery and vape cartridges all have connection plates, so do battery chargers. If your O2Vape battery charger connection plate gets pushed too far down, it can stop connecting properly with the battery. When this happens it’s unable to charge your battery. If this is your issue, it’s possible your battery is dead, not broken. See the video above for a demonstration on how to adjust this connection plate and get your charger functioning again.
5. Rapid-Charging The Battery
Most vape batteries on the market are designed to be recharged with a USB charger. A high-output charger or rapid-charge will damage your battery. Avoid using any recharge devices that advertise charging quickly or faster-than-average.
